Sunday, Day 4

Finally, I am taking a break. I have been busy all day. I worked on the end of Chapter 2 and the first scene in Chapter 3 early this morning. Afterward, I had to tackle getting my creative space cleaned up. I had bought a couple of shelving units two weeks ago and today I finally got my notebooks, research books, and reference materials placed on them. I had to make up a new notebook on period clothing and historical material. A lot of it was information I had printed out and I have stacks of it piled up. So I put it in sheet protectors and in the notebooks where maybe I can find it when I need it.

I also had a ton of laundry and general cleaning to do. I did make a great baked bean dish today. I have always used Bush's Baked Beans over the years for baked bean casserole. Bush's has continued to rise in price. Now a small can is over $1 at Kroger. So, I picked up a can of Van Camp's Pork and Beans for less than half that price. I added a little ketchup, worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, maple syrup, dried onion, bacon bits and ground beef. I cooked it at 325 for about an hour. It was sooo good! Much better than Bush's
!

What a great working day, and I've been using those cheap beans for years! They are softer, and you add all the stuff and they turn out great. A few years back, they would sell 4 or 5 cans for a dollar! I promise to call tonight! Hugs.
