The First Weekend in March

March arrived with bright sunshine and blue skies. After a month of gray skies and rain, we had a beautiful warm weekend. I'm so glad March is here. Daffodils are blooming and the azaleas will soon follow.

My yard man came over and pruned the crepe myrtles. All the early spring work is done now. Plus I had a repairman look at my broken airconditioner. It is fixable so that's better than buying a new one.

I went to an antique store this weekend and spent some time looking at everything from antique jewelry to an old carriage. Since I'm working on a historical, I really enjoyed the time I spent browsing.

I haven't had a chance to do any writing this weekend. I'm reading The Spymaster's Lady, which I'm enjoying. I haven't watched any movies. I do have Becoming Jane but I've been so busy, I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

I just got back from stuffing myself at Ryan's and I hate to see this weekend come to a close. But, I'm hoping for a good week and more good weather!
