The New Year!

Am I behind!! I hope everyone had a happy holiday season and that 2008 will be a great year for all of us.

I was industrious over the New Year holidays. I did a lot of clearing out and reorganizing my house. Got rid of clutter. I have yet to figure out where all the clutter comes from? I am trying to develop better habits, especially picking up behind myself. LOL!


I did some redecorating my writing room since I got a new desk. I moved my paperback bookcase in the room and put it beside my recliner. The photo hanging over the bookcase is actually a puzzle that was put together and framed by a dear friend, who passed away last year. There's also a handmade card from the fickle Witch on the second shelf, plus other keepsakes like a pair of wooden shoes my son bought me when he was in Amsterdam, a perfume bottle from the Middle East, one glass shoe that belonged to my grandmother, made in occupied Japan.
This is a photo of the other side of the room where I set up my writing computer on the new desk. What I really like is its large black glass top. Now what I need to do is develop a writing schedule and stick to it.

Over the weekend, I watched Shoot'em Up with Clive Owen. All Clive Owen adorees should watch this movie because he is really fine in it. However, the movie itself is so unrealistic it is like a cartoon. He's eating raw carrots and uses them as weapons. He actually kills with the carrots when he doesn't have a gun. I finally watched the Harry Potter movie, Order of the Phoenix, which I thought was one of the best of the HP movies. The trailer for Batman, the Dark Knight is online and Heath Ledger as the Joker is very scary and different. It looks like it will be a great movie!
