Relaxing With Friends

Saturday was a beautiful day and I had a great visit with two old friends, Beverly and Edna. Beverly has a screened-in deck at her house and we roosted out there all afternoon until almost six. The breeze was so nice and we talked about everything under the sun. Also, Beverly gave me a copy of her new book, Silent Killer, which goes on sale tomorrow. So, if you like romantic suspense, look for it in your bookstore.

Sunday, I got some writing done and spent some afternoon time shopping. I love to go to Kroger on Sunday afternoon to buy groceries. It is usually quiet, especially compared to Wal Mart, which I try to avoid on weekends.

Today, it was back to work and I managed to get another chapter done on the outlaw book. I only have five thousand words left and I'm finished. I hope to accomplish that by the time I leave for Texas next week. I would love to be done with this draft so I can put it aside for a few days and when I come back, look at it fresh.

And, in my thoughts tonight, is my dear friend and fellow author, Janie, whose elderly mother is in the midst of passing on to a better place.
