I am off work on July 3rd and I plan to be in the theater that afternoon watching this movie. There are few movies that are "must see in the theater" for me and this is one of them. Johnny Depp and Christian Bale are great actors, plus I love the time period and, being a Michael Mann film, it will have gritty but great atomsphere and music. I'm counting the days!!!

I love Depp and I love Bale. However, Dillinger was 31 when he died and Depp is, what, 46? Kind of makes me wince.
Not only gorgeous manly flesh, but gorgeous manly flesh in Fedoras. LOVE IT!
People around here are pretty excited as many scenes from the movie were shot locally. They even filmed a scene with Christian Bale at our state capitol, which is just a few miles from where I live. Unfortunatley, I had to work that day or I would have been down there gawking too. They hired locals to dress in the era's clothes, posing as police officers, citizens. Quite exciting stuff!
I think my herine, Carey Mulligan is in this film. It's on my list to see.
