December Already!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I enjoyed being off from work for four days. That is a rare treat and I had a lot to get done. My biggest chore was setting up a new workstation. Everyone else was eating turkey but not me. LOL.

Needless to say, working with computers, setting them up and all the crap that comes along with that is time-consuming and annoying, too. I have two laptops and a desktop that are all on the blink. One laptop, the one I used for my writing, developed a fan problem and it sounds like an old A/C, plus it shuts itself off. My desktop suffered some kind of registry error after a Windows Upgrade and will only work in Safe Mode now. So, I bought another desktop off of Ebay and it arrived the day before Thanksgiving.

I really like it. It is a Dell, it's small and has USB ports on the front so my jump drives are easy to use. Of course, I had to install all my programs and that took a while. As of now, it is set up. Along with my other laptop. I had to work on it last night to get it to display on my other monitor. None of this is ever easy and sometimes I don't know how I get the things to work, but it is working now. So, finally, I'm good to go. I don't know how long it will last....

I had the same problem with my new laptop as you did on your desktop. Just go to Dell or whoever you bought the desktop and get all the updates. Or you can go to MicroSoft and do the same. There's a good chance it'll take of the problem. It did for my laptop.
