Christmas Week

Here's a precious Christmas photograph of Dixie. Is she not adorable?

Christmas week has started off COLD!!! Of course, we have no snow like in other parts of the country and that's good. The Christmas sales have been terrific and I have seen no indication of a shopping downturn around here. The stores have been packed. I went to Belk's Saturday and bought a couple of pretty tops for about $10. Plus I got a set of sheets for $6. They were having the 40 percent off the marked down price. I love clearance sales. And speaking of clearance sales, Lowe's always has great deals and they must be getting rid of their wallcovering department or going to restock it completely. All wallpaper was on sale for $3 a roll and border was $1. I found enough to re-wallpaper my kitchen and a bedroom, and I bought enough border for my home office.

At the present, I'm removing wallpaper from a bedroom and I'm going to paint the paneling beneath it. I decided I needed something to do that was physical and I'm not one for exercise routines. I've always enjoyed home improvement projects.

This weekend, I watched the new Mummy movie. It was fun escapism. But I missed Rachel Weiss as Evie.
