I hope everyone is having a great Fourth of July! It's been a quiet day for me. I did think we were going to get some rain but not yet. My tomato plants look great and I should have a bunch of of tomatoes in a couple of weeks. I also cut my okra for the first time and it was really good. I had a busy week at work and I'm glad to be off today. I have done some work on my book and I hope to do a lot more tomorrow.

I had planned on getting some writing done today, but it didn't happen. Too much going on at my house!
Yes, I will be at the pot luck next Saturday. It sounds like a lot of fun and the speaker I hear will be good. I really hope you will be able to come.

I love okra! Mom used to cook it down and freeze it until winter. Gumbo tastes especially good when cooked okra is added into it!
I had a good 4th... we watch fireworks on the beach. Beautiful!
