Friday, Day 35

I think I'm on Day 35. I have lost count but I have worked some on the book every day except yesterday. Last night I went to Pickin' On The Square. Every Thursday night at the courthouse downtown, musicians gather to play mostly blue-grass or folk music. It was great music, lots of hand-clapping music. I was surprised by the size of the crowd. Everyone brings a lawn chair and it looked like there was a couple of hundred people there. The courthouse, which was built at the turn of the century, has massive steps and a number of people, including me, sat on the steps. I did take some photos and I'll post a couple later on. I have to say it was definitely small, Southern-town America at its best.

I have no big plans for the weekend, except I've got to do some cleaning. I want to get more work done on the book. I hope to complete Chapter 5.
