November 1

We're at the beginning of a brand new month. I did accomplish my writing goal for last month. I even exceeded it by a chapter! All in all, October was the best month I've had this year.

It's not been an easy year. The spring was hard due to the deaths of several people I knew well and the summer was chaos. I'm so glad that I guess I got a break this fall and I hope it continues throughout the rest of the year.

I wish the rest of my life could be like this past October. It was a quiet time. Peaceful. I spent the majority of my spare time doing what I love best. Writing. And, I'm writing a story I love. For me, there is no better way to spend time. I would advise everyone to take out some time in November to do something you love. Just for yourself. I think that is doubly important because November is start of the holiday season, which is a stressful time. I have come to hate it and I am going to try to avoid as much of it as possible. I would certainly love not having to go to a single store in December! Of course, that isn't possible but it would be nice!! I hate the parking lots, the lines checking out! So one of my goals is to avoid all that as much as I can.

I'm glad you had such a great month! I usually avoid the stores in December too and try to get all my Christmas shopping finished in November. It's a little different up here. Our THanksgiving is in Oct, so we have a bit of a break between holidays rather than having them mashed together into a 2 month long season.
